Aye, me mateys, I just returned from a wonderful adventure. The Dread Pirate, Frabbits the Fearsome (that be me) took her crew of Sverenjanama, Joanbeard the Pirate, and that pirate with the two glass eyes, and we set sail on the high seas….We boarded many a ship, defeating the British fleet and finding much treasure….Aye, it was a good time….but I fear that me voice may be gone tomorrow, as speaking like a pirate be hard work, especially as the captain, having to yell out orders to me motely crew….Aye, but such be the life of a pirate….
I forgot to mention this earlier, but….
I want to extend a very large “Mazel Tov” to Zach and Corinne on their engagement!!!
This weekend I went to JFK’s production of “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown!!!” They did well, especially since that musical is a cast of 6…that’s a lot of work for 6 people to do! It made me feel all nostalgic, wanting to go back and read some of the Peanuts comic strips again….
It also felt like a mini-reunion for Garden Park, as Wilhemina, Jewel & Roland, Carl & Hazel Ann, the Spencers, and Damian were all there.
I want to say a big thank you to all of you who helped make my 23rd birthday so enjoyable
Thanks for the cards in the mail from Tim & Virginia, Steve, LC, & Jessana, Debbie & Adam, and my insurance man.
Thanks to the Social Courtesy Committee for the card, lemonade, cashews, and peanut butter twix.
Thanks to Janna and her 6th period class (aka Davina and Emma) for coming in and singing happy birthday to me.
Thanks to Dad, John, and Tom for leaving me comments on xanga to tell me happy birthday.
Thanks to Dad, Brianna, Gerry, Jennie, and Jessie for calling me to say happy birthday.
Thanks to Anna for the text message.
Thanks to the Youngs, Anna, and Alyshia for throwing me a “surprise” party. Although I wasn’t surprised, I was happy. You did a good job making me feel loved. Thanks for the dinner, the dessert, the presents, and most of all, the fellowship.
Thanks to Becky for taking me out for “coffee” after intercessory prayer, giving me an opportunity to talk about things on my heart with someone who understands.
Thanks to the Applebees waiter who didn’t sing to me when bringing me my free dessert, I very much appreciated it! (and I’m not being sarcastic! I HATE going to restaurants where they sing to you!)
All in all, it was a great day.
I took Anna to register for baby stuff at Target yesterday, then we rented “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.” It was nice to hang out.
Monday was a ‘stay-at-home-all-day-and-not-even-change-out-of-your-pajamas’ day, which was nice…I haven’t had one of those in a long time….
So yeah, once again I don’t have much to write.
not much to report, mainly because I don’t feel like writing…plus, I’ll probably just end up complaining, like when I was talking to Anna at Kim’s surprise Unbirthday party…Sorry Anna, didn’t mean to be a whiner…..Oh, and a big THANK YOU to the Youngs for picking me up for shul when I discovered my flat tire Saturday, and to Dan for changing my tire in the dark Saturday evening. You guys rock!
That is all.
Bobby Bennett made it to American Idol!!! He’s in the top 24!!!! Whoo-hoo!!!! Seriously, that’s pretty exciting that I know one of the guys on there. But I’m still upset that they haven’t shown any footage of him singing….Debbie has a CD of him singing “New York, New York”….someday, when he’s totally famous, she’ll be able to say that she did a joint project with him
